Oversized Floral Summer Shirt

Hi guys,

I'm hoping that this is my last long overdue summer post this autumn!^_^

I made this oversized floral shirt at the beginning of summer (or was is the end of spring?!).
The shirt is made from a light cotton fabric. It was very useful for covering up those arms that had been exposed to too much sun, because of its loose style this shirt is also very comfortable.
I'd worn it many times over the last few months and I loved it. It is very versatile, it looks great buttoned up with shorts or skinny jeans, either tucked in or not, left unbuttoned and worn over a plain t-shirt, with trainers or sandals or heels... And I love the beautiful floral print in such a happy colour palette.

Ruffle Off The Shoulder Dress in Emerald Green

Hi guys,

As promised in my last week's post I am sharing another one my off the shoulder dresses.
This emerald green dress is made from cotton poplin. I didn't used to be a big fan of green but I am loving this lovely green in emerald shade, I love how it looks with my platinum blonde hair, it's a refreshing change from the colours I usually wear.

This green dress differs slightly from the red one as it's got a flounced hem and some cool decorative stitches around the ruffle. The decorative stitch feature of my sewing machine is something I barely use so when I finally do I get very excited with the results; it's the little things that make us happy ^_^.

And here is the dress and also my pastel pinkish hair!:)

Decorative stitch in neon green.

Poppy Red Off The Shoulder Summer Dress

Hi friends,

This summer I fell in love with the off the shoulder dress and shirt style. So much that I have sewn two very similar dresses in solid colours and loose A line cuts as well as altered two xxl men's Hawaiian shirts that turned out super cool and I loved wearing them with skinny jeans. Last week I also made a pretty floral off the shoulder dress with shirring elastic details. I'll share them all here too.

The dress below is made from cotton poplin in poppy red, it's loose and comfy and so it's perfect for hot days. And the days were really hot as can be judged by my tan:).

Geisha Style Inspired Kimono Dresses and The New Me

Hello dear friends,

Sewing a kimono is pretty easy and the way to really show off your creative side and skills is in the fabric choice and there are some many stunning prints and types of fabrics to go for. I had sewn two kimono dresses over the summer and worn them both proudly:).

This post features my new kimonos, much loved rose hair accessories that are the perfect finishing touch and my new hair colour.

I went through a much needed hair makeover back in spring and now my hair is short platinum blonde and I love it.:)

The last time I got to dress up my long reddish brown hair in roses...

These beautiful hair accessories come from Crown And Glory

And finally here are my new kimonos.. Styled and ready to hit the town:)

Very colourful and summery floral fabric

This floral fabric was a cheaper option as it's polyester blend. I loved the colours as soon as I laid my eyes on this pretty fabric!

This kimono dress was a bit more expensive to make, I used very light weight silk with geometric abstract print.

Beautiful geometric print and sheer feel of the fabric

Navy Blue Sweetheart Ruched Dress

Oh no! Not another draped dress! Don't worry this is the last one for now ^_^ ...

The sewing pattern for this draped dress was entirely drafted by me. It's made from a super soft navy blue jersey. It's sleeveless with a sweetheart neckline.  The fabic turned out a bit too light so I lined it with the same jersey.

Loving my Melissa heels from Viviene Westwood's Anglomania collection. They are so comfy and cool and their gold colour goes with so many of my dresses.

I love how pretty the dress looks dressed up with the red jacket.
